The Grisly December in Stockmarket

It has been a strained December for the global stock market, the U.S. major benchmarks lost an average 12% for the month hitting 52 weeks lows, it has recouped some of its losses in the last 4 trading sessions of 2018

As of  December 31, 2018 closing S&P 500:

  • -6.34% in 2018
  • -14.08%  quarterly performance
  • -8.80% monthly performance

The December stocks performance was the worst since the Great Depression, wild swing in the market moving a minimum of intraday 3.5% - 6% range, out of 20.5 trading days in December we have had 9 counts of full % tile closing in S&P 500 & QQQ, while DIA  had 10 counts.
